Performance Art Video

Originally I was going to do something completely different, but then this idea of walking a TV popped into my head. Perfect! I was just going to walk around, dragging a TV but I had to wear a costume... it just made perfect sense =)

It was really crazy walking around Ybor dressed like that. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people that did not react to me at all. They just thought it was the norm of Ybor or just didn't want to get involved.

My favorite part was walking by and some random stranger yelled that he wanted a picture with me. Amazing. I'm a super star!

  1. Loved your video and your whole story behind your "eybor city" experience. The location that you choose had a really big effect and added alot more to the video. I loved your outfit too. You played the part well

  3. I thought your art form was indeed interesting. I am amazed by how you dressed up with cords and leashing up a TV set with you. Walking about Ybor during evening midday/evening hours and getting lots of attention.

Applause and Bravo to your friend videotapping you. Very good job of tracing your movements and getting good closeups of the people reacting to you.

I am also amazed by the color scheme you used with your costume design and the walking TV set accessory. First it could be revealed you are acted as a electrician or construction worker, but your actions and layout justify it being abstract. Very good performance.

    Good Job :)

  5. When your video came on the screen i thought, "shit, her costume was better than mine". It was cool to see how we both did sort of the same thing, but they had completely different feelings. I love that you chose a weekend night at Ybor, definitely an interesting crowd.

  7. I really really liked this. I was glad you thru yourself into an extremely public scene to find out what would happen. Including comments from the bystanders was great too.
